Our tree and stormwater intallation of over 10,000 Silva Cell frames in downtown Minneapolis, MN(which we call the Marq2) got another great mention this week — this time in Stormwater Magazine’s online newsletter.
It’s really gratifying to see this project continue to get recognition. The cost savings to the city are significant, so this is a great demonstration of how the Silva Cell can deliver those great big street trees that everyone wants in addition to financial value. The city expects stormwater utility fees to be just about halved due to the fact that the soil within the Silva Cells can manage rainfall from 90% of the storms in this region. We think that’s pretty neat.
The Marq2 was also recently mentioned in Landscape Architect & Specifier News.
