DeepRoot Tree Root Barriers are available in five heights: 12”, 18”, 24”, 36”, and 48”. Each panel measures 24” wide. The appropriate depth depends on the adjacent pavement profile, the conditions of the site, and the type of protection required.
The 12”, 18”, and 24” panels are designed primarily for conventional hardscape-protection applications, while the deeper 36” and 48” panels are intended for specialty conditions requiring greater depth, adaptable layouts, or protection across changing terrain.
When selecting your size, begin with the pavement profile. For standard hardscape applications, the barrier should extend at least as deep as the pavement and its aggregate base. Deeper specialty barriers are selected according to the particular site condition.

The 12”, 18”, and 24” Tree Root Barriers share a common panel design for conventional hardscape protection, with depth selected primarily according to the adjoining pavement and aggregate-base profile. The 36” and 48” barriers are designed for deeper specialty conditions, offering greater flexibility for slopes, changing grades, large planting areas, and other sites where protection requirements vary.
